Ed Sheeran fans have been left devastated after their tickets were cancelled just hours before his sold-out Hampden Park gig tonight.
Emergency service workers are amongst those who have been told their tickets were no longer valid for the second night of the hitmaker's Glasgow shows.
It is thought hundreds of ticket holders have been affected.
Music fans who booked using their Blue Light Card for the emergency services, NHS, social care sector, and armed forces were informed via email less than 24 hours before the show that their tickets were no longer valid.
Fans have been left out of pocket after paying for travel and accommodation to attend the show.
Community psychiatric nurse Cat Allan, 42, said she was disappointed at the "ridiculous" way the situation has been handled after booking two tickets.
She told the Record: "I am annoyed and there are a lot of disappointed people.
"I booked two tickets using the blue light card but there were around 17 of us going in total. Everyone is either a NHS or frontline worker and we have all worked through Covid.
"It is terrible. They make it sound like they're going to give back to frontline staff and then they do this and cancel without even 24-hours notice.
"My daughter who was coming with me is only 15 so she understands but my friend's daughter is younger and absolutely devastated.
"It is okay disappointing us but to disappoint the kids who were so excited is not fair."
Police Scotland employee Mr Duffy, 28, has also been affected by the cancellation.
He said: "My wife is a nurse for the NHS and she said someone in her work had their tickets cancelled.
"I went on and checked on the Ticketmaster app and the tickets had been cancelled. I didn't receive an email - there was no correspondence at all.
"People have booked travel hotels and they will now be out of pocket.
"It is really poor the way they have done it."
And homeless worker Shirley Holland, 52, was forced to make a mad dash to Hampden Park after her blue light tickets were cancelled last minute.
She sadly was not able to buy a replacement as the event is sold out.
Shirley told the Record: "I booked a ticket for me and my daughter and then I went back on and booked two for my grandkids.
"We were all so excited and then I got an email telling me that they had cancelled my tickets.
"My grandkids are only eight and 10 so how do you tell them they're not going to see him now?
"My son and his girlfriend also booked tickets separately and they have had theirs cancelled too.
"It is just terrible. They say they are going to give something back to you and then this. I worked all the way through the pandemic with vulnerable people.
"It is so upsetting. Surely they know how many seats there are before selling them?"
Some ticket holders have been sent an email saying tickets have been cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances" while others were told they had exceeded the booking limit - despite being under the maximum ticket limit.
Gig organisers AEG Presents apologised for the cancellations which were down to an oversubscription in complimentary ticket allocation.
An AEG spokesperson said: "Unforeseen logistical circumstances have unfortunately resulted in an oversubscription to a complimentary allocation of tickets for tonight’s show.
"This has meant some recipients have unfortunately had their tickets cancelled. We will ensure that those affected will be invited next time Ed plays in Scotland.
"Our customer relations team is currently dealing with all customers who’ve been affected, and we apologise for the inconvenience caused."
The Daily Record has contacted Ticketmaster, Hampden Park and Ed Sheeran's management for comment.
