Ed Sheeran has made an unexpected appearance at a Glasgow record shop ahead of his show at the Hydro this evening.
The superstar singer-songwriter popped into the recently opened Assai Records on Sauchiehall Steet with signed CDs for fans to pick up - and even left a message for fans heading to tonight's gig.
In a video on Assai Records' Instagram, the 'Shivers' singer said: "Glasgow, I'm playing the Hydro tonight. If you're coming down, there's an independent record store called Assai and I have dropped off the last remaining Eyes Closed CDs that are singed. Get them before they're gone and see you at the show. They're online and in store - nice one."

Assai Records added: "We had a surreal start to the day as Ed Sheeran very kindly dropped off some signed ‘Eyes Open’ CD singles to us. What a legend.
"These are available in store or online - while stocks last. Why not come in see us before his huge gig tonight?"
Ed announced the surprise gig earlier this month, just after he confirmed details of his new album, ‘-‘ (‘Subtract’). The new record is his fifth LP to date and the final in his "mathematical album era" following a number of albums named after symbols.
He also released his latest single Eyes Closed which shot to number one.
