Ed Sheeran has announced the birth of his "beautiful" second daughter. The surprise news was revealed on Instagram, with the Shape of You singer and his wife Cherry Seaborn already parents to Lyra, who was born in August 2020.
The 30-year-old posted a picture of a pair of teeny white socks in a baby's cot. The caption alongside it read: "Want to let you all know we’ve had another beautiful baby girl. We are both so in love with her, and over the moon to be a family of 4 x."

Ed, who is currently in the middle of a huge stadium tour and will play two gigs at the Stadium of Light in June, married his long-term partner in 2019. The couple have not revealed their newborn daughter's name.
The global superstar has previously opened up about fatherhood and described it as "the best thing" that has happened to him. "I think there’s so many different sides and shapes to it, there’s difficult days; there’s amazing, easy days, " Ed said during an interviews with US radio station SiriusXM.
"It’s just a roller coaster of emotions. I know that sounds like a cliché thing to say, but it’s amazing. I love it."
The Bad Habits artist is set to play three gigs at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff this weekend and will also stop in Manchester and Glasgow during the sold-out tour. He will close his UK tour with five gigs at Wembley Stadium, with the final one on July 1.
Ed released his fourth studio album + in October 2021 and it has since sold more than 2million copies.
