The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has reportedly directed Jofra Archer to sit out the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) in an effort to manage the workload of the injury-prone fast bowler in preparation for the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Despite being acquired by the Mumbai Indians for a substantial INR 8 crore in the 2022 IPL, Archer was released by the franchise last week. Notably, his name is absent from the list of players registered for the IPL auction scheduled for December 19 in Dubai.
