EC orders transfer of some categories of officers linked to polls in five states

Election Commission Police

New Delhi: The Election Commission on Tuesday directed five states heading to polls in 2027 to transfer certain categories of officers connected directly with election work.

The five states are Goa, Manipur, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
