Eben Etzebeth and Allan Alaalatoa share a beer an hour after furious altercation in Australia v South Africa clash

Eben Etzebeth and Allan Alaalatoa appear to have buried the hatchet after becoming embroiled in an altercation during South Africa's win over Australia yesterday.

Images of a wild-eyed Etzebeth have gone viral as the pair clashed during some pushing and shoving following a try from Makazole Mapimpi. Last week, Mapimpi was denied a try by a controversial tackle from opposing winger Marika Koroibete.

This week, in eerily similar circumstances, the Springbok winger got one over on his man and appeared to let him know about it after the try was scored. It sparked a furious confrontation with players piling in from all sides.

In the thick of it were Etzebeth and Alaalatoa, with neither seemingly too keen to take a backwards step.

But an hour later, the pair were in the changing rooms having a beer together. Footage posted on social media along with the caption "More than rugby" shows the prop heading to the fridge as players from both sides mingled in the dressing room following the conclusion of a two-game series Down Under.

He grabs a cold one and then heads for Etzebeth, the pair shake hands and all is forgotten, despite seemingly wanting to take each others' heads off not so long before.

The clip has been shared far and wide, having almost half a million views in less than 12 hours on Twitter alone.

South Africa were celebrating their first win in Australia since 2013, having clinched a 24-8 victory.
