Ebay to buy Depop for £890m as it targets Gen Z shoppers

EBay is to buy second-hand clothing platform Depop (Alamy/PA) -

Ebay has struck a 1.2 billion dollar (£890 million) deal to buy second-hand clothing app Depop from rival Etsy.

It is offloading the brand, which has become increasingly popular among Gen Z shoppers looking to buy products sustainably, five years after buying it for 1.62 billion dollars (£1.2 billion).
