East Bengal FC failed to protect the lead for the second match running, sharing the spoils 3-3 with Hyderabad FC after taking the 3-1 advantage at halftime, in their Group B match of Super Cup in Manjeri, Kerala, on Thursday.
Naorem Mahesh Singh scored a brace in the fourth and 44nd minute and local boy VP Suhar added another in the 17th as Stephen Constantine's side looked to be on course for earning full points. But Hyderabad FC - who briefly made it 1-1 through Javier Siverio's goal in the 11th minute - made a stunning fightback with two late goals. Siverio got his second in the 71th and Abdul Rabeeh made it 3-3 11 minutes later to queer the pitch for East Bengal.
