Eastville Park 'rave' sees residents kept up during heatwave

Residents near a park in East Bristol were kept up this weekend as a result of a "rave". Police first received reports of loud music at Eastville Park at around 3.30am on Sunday.

Avon and Somerset Police said officers were able to attend around at about 6am and there were around 50 to 60 people in attendance. In a statement, the force said they spoke to the organiser and the music was switched off, with officers staying until everyone had left.

Residents by the park took to social media to express their frustration, with one asking at 2.46am "is there a rave in the park tonight?".
