During the Easter weekend, from 29 March to 1 April, sections of the Elizabeth line, Overground, DLR and tram network will be closed.
There are scheduled closures to facilitate necessary maintenance on these lines. On every other segment of the TfL network, a high quality service is expected.
It is recommended that customers use the TfL Go app or the Journey Planner to check before they travel. Here are the main service changes you can expect for the Easter weekend. The TfL website has full details.
Tube
All Tube services will be running as normal over the Easter weekend. As always, it’s worth double checking that there are no disruptions on the day even when normal service is running.
Overground
For the duration of the Easter long weekend, including both bank holidays, the London Overground will not operate between Highbury and Islington and New Cross Gate, New Cross and Clapham Junction. Night Overground services on Friday night and Saturday night will also not run.It will not run between Sydenham and Crystal Palace on Sunday March 31.
When travelling from Liverpool Street to Hackney Downs, use the nearby London Buses and London Underground services.
Hackney Downs and Chingford are served by the replacement bus route L3, which travels through Clapton, St James Street, Walthamstow Central, Wood Street and Highams Park.
On Sunday and Monday (April 1), the London Overground will not operate from Liverpool Street to Enfield Town, Cheshunt and Chingford.
“The expectation of a satisfactory service” will apply to the other London Overground lines.
Elizabeth line
The stretch from Paddington to Abbey Wood and Shenfield will not be serviced by the Elizabeth line over the four-day Easter period. The Paddington-Maidenhead/Heathrow Terminal 4 service will be reduced over the period. There will be no stops at Whitechapel station for westbound services from Shenfield; instead, they will end at the above-ground London Liverpool Street station.
This will enable signalling software changes, which will "result in fewer delays and more reliable journeys", according to officials.
DLR
There will be no DLR service between Tower Gateway and Shadwell, Westferry and Canning Town, and Stratford and West India Quay. Bosses said this is being done to “enhance safety, dependability, and deliver a smoother journey” by replacing some segments of the track.
Buses
All buses will be running as normal.
