Easter supermarket opening hours for Aldi, Asda, Tesco, Lidl, Sainsbury's and more

The Easter bank holiday weekend is here, and UK residents will no doubt be looking forward to some hard-earned time away from work.

Some will choose to relax and unwind, where as others may want to have a party in typical British fashion. Others will be no doubt scoffing down hot copious amounts of cross buns and chocolate eggs to mark the Easter celebrations.

And many of these tasks require the supermarket, or at a bare minimum, some form of shop. But as we all know, Bank Holidays can lead to complications when it comes to store opening times and operating hours.

Should you need to pick up some booze, shopping or chocolate-based confectionary - it's probably wise to do it way in advance, not only to avoid the disappointment, but also to evade the last-minute rush completely.

So here, ChronicleLive has listed all of the supermarket opening times across Newcastle. Please note though, these times are solely for the big supermarkets, and not the smaller express or local stores.
