Airports across the UK have been faced with serious delays and disruptions over recent weeks due to coronavirus-related staff shortages.
The aviation industry in general is suffering from difficulties recruiting staff and waiting for security checks to be passed on new employees.
Pressure on airlines and airports has increased due to the surge in demand for travel during the Easter school holidays, with many flights cancelled.
Both easyJet and British Airways have struggled with staffing issues and have been forced to ground hundreds of flights over recent weeks.
According to the Independent, more flights have been cancelled by easyJet and British Airways on Tuesday.
It comes as airlines have been urged by the aviation regulator to set "deliverable" schedules after thousands of UK flights were cancelled in recent days due to staff shortages.
