EastEnders 'work out' Lola Pearce's heartbreaking fate and when she'll die

Lola Pearce desperately wants to make the most of her time left with her new husband Jay Brown and her daughter Lexi Pearce but during Tuesday's instalment of EastEnders, the terminally ill mum snapped when she realised her health was worsening quickly.

Kim Fox ( Tameka Empson ) organised a leaving party for Lola at the salon but the excitement becomes too much for Lola (Danielle Harold) who retreated outside.

Lola's loved ones began to panic when they couldn't find the hairdresser with Jay ( Jamie Borthwick ) and Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) joining the search.

When Billy found a confused Lola on the floor outside the gym, the mum broke down in tears as she begged her grandfather to help her stop Lexi from seeing her deteriorate.

Later at home, Lola panics, lashing out at her daughter when he speech and her mobility is impaired.

EastEnders fans were left distraught over these heartbreaking scenes with some predicting the next stage of Lola's debilitating illness.

One fan suggested Lola may take her life into her own hands as she becomes more determined than ever to stop Lexi from seeing her mother's condition deteriorate.

In an EastEnders forum, one Reddit user wrote: "Oh Lola I definitely think they’re heading down the assisted suicide route now. Poor Lexi too. That’s a horrible age to go through something like that, old enough to be aware of what’s going on but too young to understand it."

Another predicted the timeline of Lola's impending exit and shared: "Poor Lola. Lexi, Jay, and Billy will suffer greatly when she dies (and several other people, of course). I think she will die in the second week of June because the first week is when Elaine's family arrives."

Meanwhile, a third admitted they struggled with the heartbreaking scenes as they praised actress Danielle: "I think I’m going to take a break from EE for the next week or two. Poor Lola, it’s so upsetting and terrifying seeing someone succumb to a brain tumour. Hats off to Danielle Harold, she has been brilliant throughout this whole story."
