EastEnders villain Janine 'exposed' as damning clue about deadly crash resurfaces

EastEnders airs the moment the deadly car crash, that almost killed Linda Carter, is finally revisited next week.

Fans know that Linda was a passenger in the car with Janine Butcher driving, and a row between the pair led to the accident.

But it's Janine's cruel actions in the fallout that could finally be exposed, as a clue about what really happened looks set to resurface..

Linda was drunk and threatened to tell ex Mick Carter, Janine's partner, about Janine stealing their daughter Nancy's money, and trying to pay her to leave Walford.

Janine tracked Linda down and offered to drive her home, while trying to stop her spilling the beans.

But as a row erupted over Mick, the car smashed into a tree leaving Linda with devastating injuries.

Janine did the unthinkable when she climbed out of the car and moved Linda into the driver seat to make it look like she had driven.

Not only that, but she poured alcohol around the car to make it look as though she had driven while drunk, with her baby daughter Annie in the back seat.

Janine then fled the scene, covered up her own injuries and claimed to have been elsewhere, as Linda fought for her life.

Linda was soon outcasted by her family and faces a prison sentence for a crime she did not commit.

But next week as the court visit looms, Linda could finally crack the case as she makes a big discovery.

Linda attempts to retrace her steps from that day, and soon she and Mick realise that she made a call to The Vic that night.

Janine is panicked, as she knows full well it was her who answered the call and it led to her tracking down Linda.

As she does her best to ignore it, she's soon dropped right in it when Sharon Watts reveals another clue.

Sharon tells Linda that she was at The Vic on the day of the accident, and that she knows who answered Linda’s call.

Soon, Linda confronts Janine about the call in front of Mick as she works out it was her who answered the phone.

So will Janine finally be exposed, or will she manage to lie her way out of it?
