EastEnders fans were left in tears after the latest heartbreaking news for Whitney and Zack after their baby was born sleeping. The two bid a tearful goodbye to their baby on the BBC One soap last week, but were given more tragic news in the episode on Monday night, reports The Mirror.

The latest blow came as Whitney made the decision to leaver hospital and go back to the Square. She told Zack: "I'm going home. What else can we do? Look, I'm not ringing home with good news. I'm not taking my baby home but I can still go home."

The nurse then knocked on the door and told them: "I know last night was hard for you both. Now, this is something we give to parents whose babies were born asleep to keep things in, teddies, blankets."
