Eastenders actress Patsy Kensit has shared the heartwarming news she is engaged after her millionaire boyfriend popped the question in a romantic beach proposal. The television star, 54, who plays Emma Harding in the BBC One soap, shared a sweet snap of the moment Patric Cassidy got down on one knee on the beach at sunset.
Patsy, who has been married four times, can be seen standing in the middle of a heart made out of red flower petals on the beach, while Patric is down on one knee kissing her hand in a photo shared on her Instagram page to her 132,000 followers. She captioned the photo: "I said Yes" accompanied by four red heart emojis.
The couple are believed to have been dating since August, the Daily Mail reports, but they have not been pictured together until the engagement post was shared. She also shared a video on Instagram showing off a huge diamond engagement ring sparkling in the light.
Patsy, who has also starred in Holby City and Emmerdale over the years, has been married four times before and once vowed never to walk down the aisle again. She first walked down the aisle in 1988 when she was 22, marrying Dan Donovan from pop group Big Audio Dynamite but they split in 1991.
She went on to marry Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr in 1992 but they divorced three years later. In 1997 she married Oasis singer Liam Gallagher, before they split up in 2000. Nine years later, she married DJ Jeremy Healy but they divorced after a year in 2010.
Patsy's friends and fellow EastEnders cast members were quick to share their congratulations on Instagram after she shared her happy news last night. Actress Michelle Keegan wrote: "Aww Patsy you deserve every bit of happiness, congratulations xxx"
Natalie Cassidy, who plays Sonia in EastEnders, shared a simple heart emoji, while Kat Slater star Jessie Wallace wrote: "Congratulations gorgeous beauty."
