EastEnders star Jessie Wallace has revealed she has become a grandmother at 50.
The actress, who plays Kat Slater in the BBC soap, is mum to her 17-year-old daughter Tallulah who welcomed a baby boy recently.
Delighted, the soap star shared the news on Tuesday with a black and white picture of her newborn grandson on Instagram.
She wrote accompanying a sweet photograph: “Welcome to the world, my grandson SJ. You are loved, cherished and adored.”
Her glowing words were followed by a blue heart emoji as she showed her grandson off to the world via her Instagram stories.
Her EastEnders co-stars were quick to message her over the happy news with many sharing their congratulations.
Stacey Slater actress Lacey Turner commented on Instagram: “Beautiful boy.”
Suki Panesar star Balvinder Sopal wrote: “Congratulations.”
Blue singer Anthony Costa added: “Congratulations.”
Others gushed the star “don’t look old enough to be a nana yet”.
The post has since been removed from social media.
