EastEnders airs a sad death on the BBC soap next week, leaving the Baker family in turmoil.
New character Avery Baker passes away in heartbreaking scenes just weeks after his arrival, where he was forced to drop a bombshell.
After collapsing in recent scenes, Avery revealed to his brother Mitch Baker that he was dying, and had terminal cancer.
His sons soon arrived, with Avery making it clear he was trying to spend time with and make peace with his brother, after some distance, while he still could.
But just as the brothers begin to bond there is tragedy ahead next week, as new spoilers confirm Avery dies.
Avery is desperate to go to an old restaurant that him and Mitch used to eat at when they were younger, knowing he doesn't have long left.
Wanting to go there one last time, he's gutted as he becomes too weak so Mitch has to come up with another idea closer to home.
Knowing his brother hasn't got long left, he decides to throw him a surprise Caribbean themed party at the laundrette.
His brother is stunned by Mitch's gesture, and soon the celebrations are in full swing.
Spending some quality time together, the brothers reminisce about their past and Avery thanks Mitch for what he’s done for him, in past and present.
But in emotional scenes, as Mitch talks to his brother Avery passes away.
In the heartbreaking fallout, Mitch is encouraged to support Avery's sons Finlay and Felix who are keen to give their dad a huge send off with an expensive funeral.
Later in the week, Mitch's on/off lover Karen Taylor makes a major discovery after finding a letter from Avery.
As she hands it over to a grieving Mitch, he's shocked by what he finds out - but what has happened?
