Here is all you need to know about next week on EastEnders.
Phil is given an ultimatum after Kat break-up
Kat secretly puts Phil’s phone on silent so they can have some alone time, but when Phil later sees he has a number of missed calls, he gets angry and blames Kat.
Phil decides to break up with Kat, knowing he can’t tell her the truth about his sentence.
Later on Sharon is determined to get to the bottom of why Phil broke it off with Kat - and Phil explains that he’s facing life in prison.
When Sharon finds out that Phil hasn’t told Kat this, she gives him an ultimatum: either Phil tells her or Sharon will spill the beans herself.
After pressure from Sharon, Phil finally tells Kat the truth.
How will she react to the shocking news that he faces a life sentence? Is it over for the pair?
Gray manipulates fragile Chelsea as she struggles to cope
Gray’s manipulation reaches new levels in coming episodes, as a cruel twist leaves Chelsea struggling to cope with the abusive marriage.
The drama begins on January 25, when Chelsea is upset she can’t breastfeed after being prescribed antidepressants by her GP.
Gray pretends to agree with Denise that the medication is the best thing for her, but silently fumes.
When they’re alone, Gray plays on Chelsea’s emotions and coerces her into deciding not to take the medication so she can breastfeed.
Whitney sees Chelsea throw her medication in the bin, but when she later confronts her, it’s clear Gray’s grip on her is tighter than ever.
Later in the week, Kheerat tells Whitney he has sorted a flat for Chelsea and Jordan, after Whitney has been worrying over her.
Kheerat books a pamper session at the salon for Chelsea, hoping she can spend some much-needed time with her family, telling Denise to pretend it’s from her.
Meanwhile, Kheerat gives Gray a lift to the hospital to keep him away and does his best to get a confession out of Gray, but is interrupted - as the doctor needs him to make a big decision.
What must Gray decide to do? And with Chelsea in danger, will she manage to escape Gray?
Stuart’s fears over cancer treatment grow
Stuart’s surgery is explained to him by a doctor and he is keen to proceed as soon as possible, but worries when pain medication is mentioned.
Later, Stuart confides in Mick about his fears that he’s being punished for his past.
Later in the week, Rainie panics about Stuart.
Bailey plays matchmaker
When Bailey spots Karen and Mitch arguing over their sleeping situation, Bailey hatches a plan.
Mitch later warns Bailey that she can’t force him and Karen to fall in love, although he hopes Karen is talking about him when she praises the delivery man she has been flirting with.
Elsewhere on Albert Square, Ben and Callum open up and promise to be there for each other while Jean inadvertently gives some terrible advice and Mick gives Scarlett a special present and lies that it was Janine’s idea.
These scenes will air on EastEnders on the BBC from Monday, January 24 through to Friday, January 28
