Kat Slater fears her son Tommy Moon is taking a dark path in Monday's episode of EastEnders, airing on BBC Two due to the Paris Olympics (7:30 pm. See our TV Guide for full listings).
Kat Slater is struggling to keep herself together over the latest dramas with her son Tommy Moon. Normally able to deal with whatever life throws at her. tough cookie Kat's one soft spot is her kids.
Shortly after Tommy was born, Kat thought she'd lost her son after Tommy was stolen in a baby swap by grieving mother Ronnie Mitchell. He was eventually returned but his life was later turned upside down when he was just ten when Kat was forced to admit his biological father was not Alfie Moon, but Alfie's cousin psychopath Michael Moon who was murdered by Janine Butcher.
Already prone to outbursts, Tommy's behaviour has escalated and he's recently stolen from the Minute Mart as well as lashing out at a shocked Yolande Trueman, earning him a ticking off from publican George Knight.
Alfie suggests to a frazzled Kat that she take a holiday while he looks after the kids but concerned about Tommy kicking off again, Kat insists she needs to be there to keep an eye on him.
Her instincts are sadly proved right when he's unnecessarily rough with twins Bert and Ernie and she's forced to intervene.
Unable to deal with her fears about what Tommy might be turning into, Kat confesses to Alfie that she's seriously worried about their son.
Can Alfie help her?
Nish Panesar is smug that his plan has come together as sons Ravi Gulati and Vinny Panesar fuss around him. When Nish does his usual and tries to cut Vinny out of a business deal, however, a fuming Vinny is forced to bite his tongue.
Spilling his frustrations to mum Suki Panesar, Vinny admits he's finding it hard to keep up the pretence of being a good son to get his hands on a dying Nish's money and businesses.
Calming her son's fears, Suki tells him he needs to be bold to gain Nish's respect. Taking Suki's words to heart, Vinny crashes Nish's business meeting and puts on the charm to impress the potential client.
Things are turned upside when when Priya Nandra-Hart bursts in and launches into a tirade against Nish.
Can Vinny save the situation?
Callum Highway receives a big blow over his marriage to a jailed Ben Mitchell. The couple were forced apart when Ben was convicted for fraud in the States and shipped out there to face a prison term.
Despite Ben telling Callum that it was best if they split to give Calum a chance of a life without waiting around for him, Callum refused to be binned off and pledged his love to his husband.
Plans are afoot for Ben's mum Kathy Beale, brother Ian Beale and daughter Lexi Pearce to visit Ben in prison. As they excitedly set off for the airport, a sad Callum is left behind.
Despite trying his best, Callum hasn't been able to get time off from his job as a copper and it breaks his heart not to be able to see Ben in person.
Johnny Carter spots that Callum is feeling down and he vows to cheer him up.
