EastEnders fans are in mourning after the death of Bill Treacher, who played the iconic Arthur Fowler.

The veteran actor - who was one of the BBC soap's original cast members and appeared from 1985 until 1996 - died on Saturday aged 92.

A statement from his family confirmed that his health had taken a downturn over the last few years.
