EastEnders star Max Bowden has been spotted leaving co-star Shona McGarty's home amid rumours a relationship between the pair is blossoming.
The 27-year old, who plays Ben Mitchell in the BBC soap, was pictured leaving Shona's Welwyn Garden City property one morning earlier this week.
The actor split from his pregnant girlfriend earlier this year and now reportedly spends a lot of time at Shona's £650,000 house.
A source told the Sun on Sunday: "They spend as much time together as they can. Most nights or mornings Max is seen entering or leaving Shona’s home. He wears the same clothes most days.
"They have tried to keep their relationship a secret and they drive into the EastEnders set separately, but anybody who sees them together can see how they feel about each other."
Shona, who plays Whitney Dean in the long-running programme, has been described as "a shoulder for him to cry on" following Max's break-up with insurance executive Roisin Buckle.
The former couple are said to have remained friends and plan to co-parent together, however.
Mirror Online previously reported that Shona was spotted with Max alongside another couple as they attended a country music festival at London's O2 in March as rumours of a relationship between the two cast members heightened.
At the time a source said: "Max and Shona are mad for each other. They have been spending quality time together for a while now.
"Max and Shona’s friendship is more enthralling than an EastEnders' plotline."
A pal of the two actors added: "Shona and Max have been friends for years now but they’re absolutely not in a relationship.
"Shona has been a great support for Max over the last couple of months and been a shoulder for him to cry on."
Shona revealed last year, meanwhile, that she was ready to get back on the dating scene more than two years after her engagement to her long-term fiancée had ended.
She was engaged to electrician Ryan Harris for 18 months before their relationship fizzled out towards the back end of 2019.
The Mirror has contacted Max's representatives for a comment.
