Former EastEnders star Maisie Smith has reportedly landed a big role in an upcoming movie over a year after she left Walford.
It's said the former favourite from the soap, 21, will feature in a star-studded cast for the gangster film Bermondsey Tales: Fall Of The Roman Empire.
It will mark her first move onto the big screen after growing up on the east end soap where she played Tiffany Butcher.
It's thought she will start filming on the project later this year with her character set to have a huge part in the storyline.
"She plays Chloe, a leading player in a mobster family, and will be acting alongside Alan Ford from Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and Kidulthood’s Adam Deacon," a source said.
"It is an exciting new venture for Maisie and she can’t wait to dip her toe into a big new project," the source continued in a message to The Sun.
They added: "Since Strictly and EastEnders she has kept her eyes open for her next on-screen job, and the people behind Bermondsey Tales thought Maisie was the perfect fit."
Currently, Maisie's schedule has been filled with busy touring dates for Strictly Ballroom: The Musical, but it's thought that once that finishes later in the summer, she'll move her attention to the new flick.
The source said it's a "very exciting" project for the actress to make her mark on the industry in a wider way.
Maisie honed her skills on the set of EastEnders, starting off as a six-year-old as part of the famous Butcher family.
After over a decade on the long-running BBC show, she opted to move on to pastures new and return to her roots on the big screen.
At the age of four, two years before joining EastEnders, Maisie had a small part to play in the Hollywood blockbuster The Other Boleyn Girl.
She featured as a very young Elizabeth I in the 2008 production which also starred the likes of Eddie Redmayne, Scarlett Johansson and Benedict Cumberbatch.
She once joked she was a better actress as a child, mocking in 2020 that she "had more talent when I was six". Maisie put it down to a confidence issue.
The Mirror has contacted Maisie's representatives for comment.
