EastEnders viewers have rumbled a scene from around 16 years ago, that shows Lucy Beale predicting her mother Cindy had faked her own death.
In scenes that now echo reality nearly two decades on, the tragic character confided in her brothers Steven and Peter about their mother's fate after her apparent death in the 90s.
Lucy suggested her mother was still alive and that she might have had to go into hiding, just years before her own tragic death.
In a twist of fate this has now been revealed to be true years on from the scenes in 2007, with Cindy coming back from the dead in a recent episode.
In a major plot twist, Cindy was confirmed to have faked her death as she went into witness protection - while the Beales and Walford were led to believe she had died in prison during childbirth.
Since the revelation, some fans came across a clip from 16 years ago when Steven returned to Walford to see his younger siblings.
In the clip Steven and Lucy, who are both now dead on the show, discussed the possibility of her being alive.
Questioning if her mum was out there somewhere, she said: "Well she could be alive. Maybe she had to go into hiding."
As Peter told her their dad Ian would never have lied to them, she added: "Maybe that's what he was told as well. Look just think about it, she could be out there waiting for us."
Little did they know that she was out there, with Ian only finding out the truth around a year ago it is believed - and now Peter knows the truth about his mother too.
Unfortunately Steven and Lucy will not be reunited with their mother and will never know that Lucy was right about her fake death, as Lucy was murdered in 2014 and Stephen was killed in 2017.
Peter will soon meet the two half-sisters he didn't know existed when he returns to Walford, as Anna and Gina are now in Walford with their father George Knight.
It was recently revealed that George's ex-wife Rose Knight, the girls' mother, was in fact Cindy. She had been posing as Rose since entering the protection scheme.
While separated from the Beales, she had two girls with George before walking out on them with no explanation in 2014 - the same year Lucy died.
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
