EastEnders airs devastating scenes on the BBC soap next week, that could result in the death of a major character.
Linda Carter will be left fighting for her life after a deadly car accident, with her rushed to hospital.
Her family are informed that the character is in a critical condition, and might not survive her injuries.
It comes amid a rivalry with Walford villain Janine Butcher, who is also caught up in the car smash with her driving the car.
Few details have been given about the fallout, but according to spoilers Janine will show her true colours.
It all kicks of as Linda is seen hitting the bottle again following a row with daughter Nancy.
Linda and Nancy are heading to Watford together, but just before they go Zack lets slip about Linda almost leaving recently.
He managed to encourage her to stay in Walford, after Janine paid her £50,000 to leave and never return.
But when Nancy finds out her mother almost walked out on her, she can't hold back and confronts her.
Linda decides it's time to tell her the full story, but before she has a chance to explain everything Nancy storms off and goes back to the Square.
With her car broken down, and little Annie in the back, a devastated Linda turns to alcohol yet again as she struggles to cope.
Back in Walford, Janine fears the worst after previous threats from Linda and Sharon that they are going to tell Nancy and the Carters what she's been up to.
Seeing Nancy upset, she panics and soon sees Linda is trying to call Mick - so she takes action.
Willing to do anything to stop Linda from speaking to Mick about the truth, she gets a cab to Linda's location to stop her.
Janine manages to start the car, and pleads with a drunken Linda not to tell Mick or any of the others about what she did.
As she takes to the wheel, with Linda too drunk to drive, things take a dark turn when she loses control of the car.
Janine ends up crashing, leaving both her and Linda in serious danger.
The Carters soon receive a call from the hospital to say there’s been an accident, and as they arrive doctors inform them that Linda is in a critical condition and could die.
Prior to this, Janine wakes up to Annie’s cries and soon realises the severity of Linda’s injuries - and it's not long before she shows her true colours.
