There are more tough times ahead for Linda Carter on EastEnders next week as her world is rocked by the reminder of Dean Wicks.
Linda - played by Kellie Bright - is left horrified when Dean makes a 'return' to her life next week on the BBC soap, as she continues to struggle with managing the Queen Vic and grieving the loss of her husband Mick Carter, who is still considered as a missing person but is presumed to be dead. Linda has been struggling since Mick went missing, and things are set to get worse.
The landlady has been battling with what to do with Mick's half of the Queen Vic, as Janine is keen to sell.
Things take an even more tougher turn for Linda next week, as she's reminded of something horrible from her past.
Spoilers for next week on the BBC soap reveal that Linda's world is rocked when she sees a photo of Shirley Carter with her son Dean Wicks. Dean - played by Matt Di Angelo - became obsessed with Linda, who became a support for him as he struggled with what was happening around him. One night, as Linda tried to comfort him, he attempted to have sex with her.
Linda refused but he then raped her in horrifying scenes, which has left Linda continually scarred.
Her past feelings resurface next week by the arrival of the photograph, and she quickly retreats in the hallway as she struggles to cope with what she's seen. Despite being away from prying eyes, Kathy notices something is wrong and tries to console her.
Later, the pair are able to talk about what they've been through in the past.
It comes after a tough time for Linda, who is at risk of losing The Queen Vic until friend Sharon steps in.
In scenes set to air this week, Linda is dealt even more bad news as she gets a call from the lawyer, who says that Janine is still keen to sell Mick's half of The Queen Vic. She confides in Sharon about the news, and the pair quickly head to hatch a plan at the café. Linda is worried, as she seems to have no choice but to sell up. However, Sharon is adamant that won't happen.
Soon she makes an offer to Linda she can't refuse - and plots to buy Mick's half of The Vic.
