Former Emmerdale star Aidan O’Callaghan has been cast as the new manager of The Prince Albert in rival soap Eastenders.
The hunky actor, who portrayed a character named Mike on the long-running ITV soap, will be involved in an upcoming storyline alongside Walford regular Ben Mitchell over on the BBC.
Aidan, 33, will play the role of Lewis and will make his debut in Albert Square later this month after bagging the manager’s job at the local gay bar.

The character soon befriends Ben after taking over as manager of the gay bar and they enjoy a night out on the town together.
However, things soon take a turn for the worst when Lewis is harassed by a homophobic gang, leading to Ben beating up one of them unconsciously.
The Irish actor appeared in Emmerdale as a character named Mike back in 2018, however, he only featured in two episodes.
He has also appeared in Sky drama Wolfe and the popular thriller The Rook, Kill Day, The Paradox Series, Obsession: Dark Desires and Home Alone.
Aidan is also set to appear in the new prequel series to The Witcher alongside Hollywood actress Michelle Yeoh and legendary comic actor Lenny Henry, alongside his Eastenders role.
It is not yet known how long Aidan's character will be in Walford but it is believed EastEnders bosses want to feature The Prince Albert more in future episodes.
