EastEnders viewers were shocked this week, when they realised how old Kathy Beale was on the BBC soap.
Her age has come up numerous times over the years, and every time it does it causes chaos on Twitter, with fans surprised by her age.
This week was no different, as Kathy paid tribute to the Queen, following the Monarch's death aged 96 last Thursday.
As the country mourns her passing, EastEnders took a moment this week to pay tribute - with character Kathy mentioning the Queen's Coronation 70 years ago.
It's then that viewers believed Kathy was 73 years old, and they could not believe it.
Saying this, it's thought Kathy was born in May 1950, meaning she is actually 72 years old currently, and will turn 73 next year.
Kathy would have been three in 1953 when the Coronation took place, a year after Elizabeth II was proclaimed as Queen in February 1952 - so Kathy wasn't wrong about being three years old at the time of the ceremony.
Actress Gillian Taylforth is younger than her soap alter ego however, and wasn't alive for the Queen's coronation.
In real life, actress Gillian is 67 years of age as of last month, making her five years younger than her famous character.
Viewers were shocked when they realised Kathy was in her 70s this week, after she said: "God bless her. It just feels so personal, you know, just devastating."
Kathy then declared she was three years old when the Queen was coronated – making her 73 years of age next year, while some viewers got confused and believed this was her current age.
Recalling key moments of the Queen’s seven-decade reign, Kathy said: “I was, what, three when she became Queen. I wish I could remember the coronation but, well, I’ve got other people’s memories.”
Fans immediately took to social media to air their shock at Kathy's age, saying she looked younger.
"Out of everything I've heard this past week, the thing I'm struggling most with is that Kathy Beale off EastEnders is 73," one fan said.
"I'm sorry, Kathy in EastEnders just said she was three when the Queen had her coronation? Kathy is 73?! I had her at early to mid 60s," said another.
