EastEnders fans have worked out who will die this Christmas - in a case of mistaken identity.
There has been much talk about which man will die during the festive period, after a flashforward scene saw the six matriarchs standing around the as yet unknown male. Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki ( Balvinder Sopal ) are all there, but we don't know who the man is, or if one of them killed him.
The soap's executive producer Chris Clenshaw has teased the man could literally be anyone, as he said back in February: "As we saw in the flash-forward scene, there are six women stood over a dead body, which we know is male.
"Over the next ten months, expect to see each of these women have huge stories, involving potential victims, which will all collide at Christmas. EastEnders has always had strong women at its heart."
He added: "It made sense to throw some of our most iconic female characters into a huge storyline together that has never been seen before. These women are neighbours, they live on the same square, but we rarely seem them all interact in such a huge way."
Now fans have rumbled a twist on who will be murdered - and that the person will be killed in a case of mistaken identity.
"Is it just me or Is it going to be vinny dead at Christmas @bbceastenders #Eastenders," one fan suggested, as a second added: "I have just had a thought is it vinny at Christmas? #EastEnders."
Nish has been the most popular theory for who will die this Christmas, with many suspecting the women will either team up to ensure Suki gets her happy ending with Eve or others think they will team up to bring his and Ravi's hold on Keanu to an end.
However, some now think Vinny - who admitted tonight that he trashed the Queen Vic, including destroying lots of things belonging to Linda's late partner Mick Carter - could be the one they target, or even the one they kill? Or will Nish die trying to protect his son?
Whatever happens, it promises to be an incredible Christmas on EastEnders.
