EastEnders fans stunned as current Love Island star makes cameo on BBC soap

Love Island's Olivia Hawkins has made an appearance in EastEnders amid her villa stint.

Actress and ring girl Olivia is looking for love in South Africa on the ITV2 show, but when she's at home in the UK, she works as a ring girl and an actress. She has a string of acting credits to her name and now she can add the BBC soap to her list once more.

In a new episode of EastEnders, the 27-year-old actress made a cameo alongside Sam Mitchell and fans were left stunned when they noticed the Islander made an appearance in Peggy's as an extra.

In the scene, Olivia can be seen looking over her shoulder, dressed in a black outfit and with a high ponytail, with eagle eyed fans who tuned into the new episode noticing her appearance on the soap.

Taking to Twitter, one penned: "Is this not Olivia on EastEnders? #LoveIsland," as another wrote on Twitter: "Loool wait the girl on love island is on tonight’s episode of eastenders, the timing is just mad."

A third shared: "Just clocked Olivia from #LoveIsland on #Eastenders," with a fourth writing on social media: "Not olivia being on tonight’s eastenders sis is getting that bag #EastEnders #LoveIsland."

"Who watched todays EastEnders today? Who else clocked Olivia from love island as an extra," a fifth penned.

It's not the first time Olivia has made an appearance on EastEnders, as she confirmed to The Mirror and the other press that she was a double for Whitney Dean once, adding: "I did doubling for Whitney for one of the New Years episodes."

Olivia hopes the stint on Albert Square won't be her last as she shared: "It would be a full circle moment to go on and be one of the characters – even if I was just a drop-in that would be fun."

Olivia has a number of acting credits under her belt - including starring alongside Daniel Craig.

Asked about her claim to fame, she said: "I did a film with Jason Statham and had a nice 10 minute convo about life. I've been a ring girl for KSI, I played a waitress in James Bond with Daniel Craig and I’ve also been a body double for Michelle Keegan and Emma Watson."
