EastEnders fans have spotted a big blunder as Billy Mitchell was arrested by Keeble for the murder of her father.
The BBC One soap has been airing some dramatic scenes of late as Phil Mitchell is pressured by DCI Keeble to try and get him to rat his cousin Billy Mitchell out over the death of a security guard back in the 1970s.
It was revealed during Monday's flashback episode that Phil's dad Eric Mitchell killed a security guard when a robbery of some VHS players went wrong. Keeble was revealed to be the daughter of the man who was killed.
During tonight's show, Phil desperately tried to find a way to get himself out of the mess, after he gave a statement to Keeble about Billy being involved in the robbery and sourcing the gun. The only reason he had snitched was to stop Keeble arresting Kat Slater.
Phil tried desperately to outdo Keeble but it wasn't enough, and he set onto plan B, begging Billy to leave the country and miss their wedding because he needs him to sort out a property deal in Portugal.
Adamant he would be there to celebrate Phil and Kat's nuptials, Billy refused to go and wanted to stay.
However, Phil then told Billy exactly why he needed to leave and admitted that Keeble knows about the robbery. However, he did lie about who told the police about it and said someone else had grassed him up.
Billy made his way to leave but just as he bids farewell to Honey at the Queen Vic, he is stopped by Freddie. Keeble then arrived and arrested Billy, just before he was able to get away and flee the Square.
Fans have now pointed an issue with the storyline, as Keeble's vendetta rumbles on.
"Really Keeble? She knows he's innocent. Also is she allowed to investigate her own Dad's murder?" one fan suggested, as a second added: "Keeble knows Billy didn't kill anyone, all this to get Phil? Yet another dodgy copper on the Square."
A third shared: "Poor Billy. His kids especially shouldn't of had to see that. He literally should of just left the second Phil told him to Also isn't Keeble investigating the murder of her own Dad a total conflict of interest? She could easily plant evidence to get justice."
*EastEnders airs Mondays through Thursdays on BBC One at 7.30pm.
