Lily Slater on EastEnders is at the centre of a shocking new storyline, after the 12 year old discovered she was pregnant.
This week, Lily told mum Stacey Slater that the father was Ricky Mitchell, known as Ricky Jr, after she figured it out.
She had seen the way Lily waved at her pal in the Square days after the baby news, with Lily initially keeping quiet about the identity of the person she had slept with.
But she finally opened up to Stacey and grandmother Jean Slater in a recent episode, confessing she had slept with Ricky once and that they were not together.
Some viewers are now speculating that this could be a lie though, and they have questioned whether Lily felt pressured into saying Ricky was the father.
With Stacey shouting at her and accusing Ricky, fans believe Lily might have agreed and gone along with the theory just to stop Stacey going on, and to maybe cover up who she really slept with.
Fans have now guessed Nugget could be the real father of Lily's baby, with them thinking that amid the drama between the Slaters and the Panesars she decided to lie.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "Still don’t think Ricky jr is the father of Lily’s baby, reckon she’s covering for someone! I still think it’s nugget or someone else."
Another asked: "Anyone else still think Lily's Baby Daddy's actually Nugget? She obviously knows how her family feel about the Pansears & vice versa so maybe lied so as not to add to it?
"Also she never actually flat out said it was Ricky she just agreed with whatever Stacey said."
A third fan wrote: "I wonder if Nugget is actually the father of Lilly's baby. I feel like Lilly just said it was Ricky Jnr because Stacey jumped to that conclusion. Ricky Jnr dosnt seem the type for one night stands unless he was provoked."
This was echoed by another viewer who said: "I don't think Ricky Jr is Lily's baby daddy... I think judging by Lily looking out of the window that it is Nugget."
