Eastenders fans left double-taking as ‘Paddy from Emmerdale’ makes appearance on BBC set

Eastenders viewers were left doing a double-take after they spotted 'Paddy from Emmerdale' on the BBC set.

The BBC soap has had a number of dramatic storylines recently including Phi Mitchell who is currently in the middle of a heated moment with his son Ben’s rapist Lewis Butler.

The actor, who is played by Steve McFadden, and sister Sam kidnapped Lewis, but he briefly managed to escape before being recaptured, with Phil threatening to kill him, The Sun reports.

Despite all the drama going on, a behind-the-scenes picture is now doing the rounds on social media that has BBC viewers talking.

In the snap actor Steve and co-star Aidan O'Callaghan, who plays Lewis can be seen posing with their stunt doubles. However, some soap fans immediately thought Phil's stunt double was Emmerdale actor Dominic Brunt.

Dominic is well known for playing Paddy Kirk in the ITV soap since 1997, but it didn't stop some from thinking he had made a rogue cameo in the rival show.

@sharon_weave shared the snap and joked: "Why was Phil Mitchell’s stunt double paddy from emmerdale." @mikepriestley13 wrote: alongside crying with laughter emojis: "he actually does look like paddy." @katecrimed added: "If Paddy from Emmerdale and Matt Lucas had a child."

But it seems Paddy has to much going on in the Yorkshire Dales as a recent spoiler suggests he will soon find out about his wife Chas’s cheating scandal.

He has no idea that Chas has been cheating on him with Al Chapman but in coming episodes, Chas and Al’s secret affair is discovered and Chas is faced with the possibility of Paddy finding out the full story.
