EastEnders fans heartbroken as Martin struggles after finding out Gray killed Kush

EastEnders fans were left heartbroken for Martin as he struggled with the fallout from Gray Atkins' murdering spree.

Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) was taken aback when Gray (Toby Alexander-Smith) told her that he was the one who killed her boyfriend Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) in a huge showdown last week.

But Martin Fowler (James Bye) was devastated when he realised what had happened to his best friend, and took his anger out on the Atkins' household, despite Gray not being there.

As Denise helped to pack things to take to Chelsea and Jordan, there was an almighty bang followed by the sound of glass breaking.

"Gray's gone, Chelsea and Jordan are well - they're safe," Kim said, just as a brick flew through the window.

Commotion could be heard outside as Whitney told Martin to calm down. She tried to console him but the anger on his face was clear. "It's not doing anyone any good," she yelled, "You could hurt someone."

As Kim and Denise screamed at him, Martin was visibly emotional as he told them what Gray had done.

"He pushed my mate under a tube," he said as his voice break. Denise was shocked, but Jack was left fuming by what Martin did and warned him to stop or it would make things worse.

He said: "If there's another brick near my wife, you and I will have a problem. Gray Atkins doesn't live here anymore. Alright, he's gone - and he's going to spend a lot of years inside, and a good riddance."

"Am I just supposed to get over that, am I?" Martin asked, as Jack told him they'd just have to start trying.

He admitted they all got taken in by Gray's shiny suits and 'good' persona, all the while he was hiding a big secret.

Fans took to Twitter to share their sadness at Martin's admission.

"Martin that is not the answer #EastEnders," one wrote alongside a broken heart and crying emoji, with a second admitting they felt for Martin, adding: "Ahh poor Martin man #Eastenders."

A third shared: "gray’s ripping friends and family to shreds even when hes gone #Eastenders."

"I’m grieving over kush again I miss him so much #Eastenders," a fourth wrote.
