EastEnders fans have been playing detective after being left gobsmacked by a dramatic flashforward episode. In a never-seen-before moment for the BBC One soap, Monday night's episode (February 20) ended with a lock-in at the Queen Vic for six iconic female characters, which suddenly fast-forwarded to Christmas 2023.
Viewers were stunned to see Sharon Watts, wearing a wedding dress splattered with blood, leaning over a dead body and confirming "he's dead", while Stacey Slater stood with blood-stained hands and Denise Fox held a broken champagne bottle. While fans face a 10-month wait to find out who will end up dead, they are also intrigued to know who Sharon will be marrying.
Some have wondered if it could be her ex-husband Phil Mitchell, who is currently set to be tying the knot with Kat Slater at Christmas. For other fans, their money is on her lover Keanu Taylor who recently returned back into her life after fleeing Walford following a feud with Phil.

In Monday's episode, the pair had a racy encounter in the toilets of the Queen Vic, and eagle-eyed fans think the scene held a big clue to what will happen at Christmas. @keanutaylors asked on Twitter: "Omg did anyone else notice this?? The cubical door says engaged. We’re actually gonna get a sheanu wedding."
@RyanTheSoapking replied: "OMG I didn't notice this. I thought that Sharon might get married to Keanu anyway as I can't see her going back to Phil." @shannisrickman shouted: "IM SHAKING STOP I HOPE SO."
