EastEnders fans were left feeling torn after tuning into Thursday night's explosive episode.
The latest instalment of the BBC soap saw Shirley Carter fighting for her life and Karen Baker wielding a baseball bat as the truth about Gray Atkins came out.
Gray not only murdered his wife Chantelle, he also killed Tina Carter and Kush - which he also confessed to during a showdown with Whitney Dean.
However, as the 30-minute episode came to a close, not all EastEnders fans were feeling satisfied.
"We were expecting big things with this ending @bbceastenders but you’ve let us all down #EastEnders," one person tweeted.
Another said: "it just didn’t give classic Eastenders #Eastenders."
A third person posted: "still some btec acting but at least the Gray storyline is wrapped up! Would have been a better episode if it came out months ago! #Eastenders."
But other viewers couldn't wait to praise the intense scenes as well as the "superb" acting.
"Omg #Eastenders knocked it out of the park tonight!!!!," one said.
Another posted: "@bbceastenders bloody amazing tonight well worth the wait! #EastEnders."
Someone else tweeted: "Gosh... what an episode that was. My heart has never been in my chest until tonight #Eastenders good job."
And another added: "Just caught up on #EastEnders, f*cking hell that was intense. Superb acting start to finish! Great conclusion and I'm glad Gray is going to be held accountable for his actions."
It's been revealed that EastEnders residents will be left reeling in the fallout to the huge scenes which aired this week on the BBC soap.
Stacey Slater and Kat Moon are left devastated by some news - could it be the truth about Kush Kazemi's murder at the hands of Gray?
The Taylors and Bakers are in turmoil, as they now know at this point that Chantelle was killed and abused by her husband Gray.
Walford is in shock that the seemingly good guy Gray was actually a serial killer, with only Whitney Dean and Kheerat Panesar knowing what he was capable of.
