EastEnders will air the return of a fan favourite later this year. Yolande Trueman is heading back to Walford where her ex Patrick Trueman lives, six years after she was last on screen.
Actress Angela Wynter is reprising her role for the first time since 2017, when she made a surprise comeback.
Before this, Yolande had left Walford for good in 2008 and moved to Birmingham, where she has remained for the last 15 years.
It had recently been teased a comeback was on the cards, when Patrick decided to track down the love of his life, wanting her back.
Patrick will return to Walford in upcoming scenes of the BBC soap, while no spoilers have detailed what happened with Yolande during his time away.
Instead, his return focuses on drama with Kim and Denise Fox, but the soap has confirmed Yolande will return to see Patrick. But will this spark a reunion for the fan favourites, and will she be sticking around?
On returning to EastEnders, Angela Wynter said: "Yolande is back in the Square! I have been really looking forward to playing her again and have had a beautiful time on set so far. I can’t thank the cast and crew enough for the warm welcome back!"
Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer added: "I’m thrilled to welcome the immensely talented Angela back to the role of Yolande Trueman.
"Although we haven’t seen Yolande for some years, her departure from the Square and the breakdown of her marriage to Walford’s living legend, Patrick, left some unfinished business between the pair.
"We therefore thought it was important to explore a reunion between the two. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her back!"
Viewers raced to Twitter over the news, thrilled to find out she would finally be returning and may reunite with Patrick.
One viewer said: "omg yay yolande is actually coming back!!"
Another fan tweeted: "yolande is coming back to us i am crying," as a third said: "omg Yolande is coming back to EastEnders."
The comments kept on coming too, with another reading: "Yolande is coming home!"
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
