An eagle-eyed EastEnders fan has launched a bizarre campaign after spotting something odd about the BBC set.
The soap has been running for 37 years and during that time has undergone several decor changes.
But since the show moved to a brand new £87million set earlier this year, one fan noticed there was something bizarrely similar about the backgrounds used in scenes.
Dubbing it ‘BlueEnders’, the fan shared a montage of photos from the soap revealing that most of the set is now blue.
Appealing to soap bosses, the Twitter user captioned the clip - which was set to the song Blue (Da Ba Dee) by Eiffel 65: “EastEnders must stop this evilness! Retweet to spread the word.”

The clip references 27 different examples of blue locations in Albert Square on the new EastEnders set.
Examples include Phil’s house, the Fox’s kitchen, the Carters’ house, Harvey’s house, Billy’s, Sharon’s and Ian’s kitchen.
Peggy’s wine bar, Walford East restaurant, the Laundrette, the Chippy, the Cafe, Minute Mart, Square Dealz car lot, the doctor’s surgery, hospital, the garage, the police station and the Queen Vic roof were also listed.
And social media users were quick to respond after viewing the clip over 1,000 times in just a few hours.
One viewer wrote: “WTF I never realised there were so many blue sets @bbceastenders.”
They jokingly added: “GET THE SET DESIGNERS TO B&Q DARLIN.”
Another tagged EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw and cheekily commented: “You need to see this.”
While a third pointed out that not only is the set very, very blue, character Sam Mitchell – played by actress Kim Medcalf – is rather a fan of a blue wardrobe.
She was pictured wearing a number of outfits from jumpers to blazer jackets in varying shades of blue.
The Twitter user captioned the post: “Special shoutout to Sam’s wardrobe.”
The refurbished EastEnders set at the BBC’s Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire was unveiled earlier this year.
It included brand new outside filming locations for The Queen Vic, Albert Square and the market and was built opposite the old Walford
Bosses said the old set, which was only ever meant to be used temporarily, was no longer fit for purpose.
Scenes filmed using the new and improved set – which is said to be better for HD – aired from spring 2022.
The BBC confirmed: "The investment in the BBC’s longest-running TV serial drama and wider BBC Elstree Centre enables improved HD for our audiences and enhanced filming options.
“EastEnders production are now able to explore new areas on screen and writers, producers and directors have greater freedom to drive further creativity."
EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One
