EastEnders' Stacey Slater fears she will have to leave Walford again next week, with hints of an exit for the character.
While a permanent exit seems unlikely for now, given Stacey features in deadly scenes this Christmas, it's teased she could be sent to prison again.
Stacey has had a couple of stints locked up over the years, and has been determined to be there for her family since - especially with 12-year-old daughter Lily being pregnant.
But their recent money issues lead to a bad decision, as she steals some cash while on a cleaning job.
Next week, she decides to give it back after being caught out by her mum Jean and fearing what the consequences will be.
Worried that the police might work out it was her, she goes to return it but things don't end up going to plan.
The next day, a panicked Stacey prepares to go to the police station, fearing she’ll be thrown back into prison.
On the way there she pays a visit to the security guard, Alan, from the scene of the crime and issues a threat to him.
Soon after while in the interview room, Stacey denies stealing the money in the face of Callum’s questioning.
She is sent home afterwards while the outcome of the accusations are not revealed - so is Stacey facing another stretch behind bars?
It comes amid a dark new storyline for the character later in the year, after a spoiler was revealed in flashforward clip.
For the first time ever in the BBC soap's history, an episode last month gave a glimpse to the future and featured a scene set to air in 10 months time.
Six characters were shown stood around a mystery dead body, with one of them tipped to be the killer - and there were a number of clues in the clip.
Suki Panesar, Stacey, Kathy Beale, Denise Fox, Sharon Watts and Linda Carter are the suspects, while it is not known who dies as of yet - just that it is a male character.
It also hasn't been confirmed who the killer is, and whether it is definitely one of the six characters.
Stacey is shown with her hands covered in blood, as she stares in shock at the body on the floor.
So is history repeating itself, and could she once again kill a character in the pub on Christmas Day? It would echo a storyline where she murdered Archie Mitchell on the same day and in the same location in 2009.
Perhaps the spoilers and Stacey's latest run-in with the law could be a huge hint about what is ahead this Christmas.
Could her panic about being sent away and not being around for her kids be foreshadowing that she is the killer, and won't be around if she gets found out?
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
