Danniella Westbrook has issued a statement after she was rushed to hospital.

The former soap star is renowned for her role as Sam Mitchell on EastEnders. She regularly keeps fans on Instagram updated with her life away from the screen.

She sparked concern last night when she shared a clip in the back of an ambulance as she was treated by paramedics. The 49-year-old shared a clip from a hospital bed as she said: "Septics, Strep A and constant temperature of 39.8."
