EastEnders' Aidan O'Callaghan is unrecognisable as he transforms for The Witcher role

EastEnders star Aidan O'Callaghan looks very different from his days on the Square as he transforms into an elf for his role in The Witcher: Blood Origin.

The actor, 33, gave fans an insight into his new job as he shared a video of him being covered in plaster in hair and make up.

Aiden, who played villain Lewis Butler in the soap earlier this year, was unrecognisable in his elf get up.

He captioned the video of him being covered in gunk: "My morning routine", before he revealed his transformation in full gladiator attire.

He added the funny hashtags 'elfluencer', 'naturalproducts' and 'linkinbio'.

Aiden had a set of elf ears for the character, as well as a thicker neck and shoulders - made from prosthetic.

In another photo, his face was covered in blood as he geared up for the role.

The fantasy favourite first kicked off in 2019 and is set in an elven world 1200 years before the world of The Witcher.

Fans were left hot under the collar after he posed in his Gladiator attire, weilding an axe.

"OMG aidan my level of ecstasy is at the limit thank you," one fan wrote.

Others rushed to congratulate him on the new role, sending him words of encouragement.

Aiden stepped into the spotlight for his role on Albert Square.

He raped Ben Mitchell in a disturbing scene, leading to him being kidnapped by Max Bowden's dad and aunt.

He joked that he was an elf influencer (Instagram)

Ben stopped his dad from murdering Lewis, but at gunpoint he forced him to talk through what happened on the night that he raped him.

"Did you or did you not hear me say no?" he shouted at Lewis.

Holding a gun to his throat, Lewis was forced to admit his crimes.

“I undid your shirt and carried on,” Lewis said before crying and saying: “I raped you.”

As Ben continued to interrogate Lewis, they made the shocking discovery that he had raped other men.

Ben ended up making the decision not to shoot Lewis and let him go free.
