Further protests at a former ESB building at East Wall are to be postponed as Minister Roderic O'Gorman has agreed to meet with local residents.
A series of protests have taken place this week over concerns about the use of the building as housing for asylum seekers. It has led to traffic disruption in the area during even rush hour as the road has been blocked off.
Protesters have said that their concerns are focused on the lack of consultation by the Government with locals, and safety concerns surrounding a fire certificate and planning permission. Residents are due to meet with the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth on Friday.

In a statement issued late last night, local councillor Nial Ring said: "Right from the start of this PR disaster for the Government, the residents of the area just wanted communication, contact and conversation to get answers to their legitimate questions and address their concerns.
"The community in East Wall are pleased that there is progress on this and the last thing they wanted was to be “lumped in” with some of the groups who attended the protests with their own sinister, bigoted and racists agendas."
