A person has been hit by a train on a major route in the East Midlands. Services have been suspended as a result.
East Midlands Railway (EMR) says the incident happened between Lincoln and Grimsby at around 9.30am on Tuesday, June 14. It is affecting the stops Market Rasen, Barnetby and Habrough.
The route connects Leicester, Nottingham, Lincoln and Cleethorpes. Delays will result but it is not yet understood when the line will reopen.

EMR says: "We regret to report that sadly a person has been hit by a train between Lincoln and Grimsby. Our services will be suspended on this route until the line has reopened."
