East Midlands Chamber has collected one of the top accolades in business after being named the UK Chamber of the Year.
The Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire chamber of commerce was recognised for its work supporting businesses to engage with the environmental, social and governance agenda as it took the top prize at the British Chambers of Commerce’s annual awards. It was picked from 53 accredited chambers of commerce in the UK.
Judges said the regional chamber succeeded in striking a good geographical balance across its membership base, serving more than 4,000 businesses across the three counties. Its strength in the areas of diversity and environmental sustainability also stood out as particularly impressive.
