Plans to replace an old footbridge with a new four metre wide walkway have been put out for public consultation by East Lothian Council.
The proposals for the River Tyne crossing in Haddington would see a new bridge wide enough for two way crossing and wheelchair and buggy use.
People are being asked to give their views on the design and future of the bridge with the costs of drawing up the new design to be funded with cash from Sustrans' Places for Everyone fund.

The bridge crosses the River Tyne from Riverside Drive towards the town's skate park. The skate park site off Whittinghame Drive is already being considered as a possible location for a new pump track.
A pump track is described as a safe, fun and inclusive playground for all wheels-based users regardless of age or gender. It's design combines rolling jumps with turns that teach the basic skills of carrying momentum, balance and speed by using your arms and legs to pump your bike/ skateboard/ scooter around the track.
The council has set aside £250,000 to support new tracks in Haddington, Tranent and Prestonpans.
The bridge consultation is open until Friday, October 14, for people to take part on the East Lothian Consultation Hub
