An East Lothian mum and her kids were left petrified as reckless yobs launched rotten eggs at their car completely covering the windscreen while she was driving.
The incident took place on Friday October 14 at around 7.45pm on East Road in North Berwick. Lynn Muir was driving back with her two daughters after picking up her eldest from piano lessons when the family decided to stop to get a chip roll for tea.

The family ate the chips by the sea and then drove home heading down East Road in the pitch black when they heard loud bangs as the car got pelted with eggs.
Lynn told of the fear whilst driving when the windscreen was covered in 'grime' as she quickly attempted to clear it and how her 11-year-old daughter was terrified.
Speaking to Edinburgh Live the mum explained: "It was on Friday evening at around 7.45pm. I had my youngest daughter in the car and we had driven along from Tranent to pick up my eldest from her piano lesson in North Berwick.
"Once I picked her up we decided to get a chip roll for dinner and went to pick those up, we drove down near the sea to eat our chip rolls before heading back along East Road.
"It was pitch black and you couldn’t see a thing and suddenly loud bangs started as something was hitting off the car. First it hit the bonnet, then the roof and the back of the car as a group of youngsters were standing above at a height launching eggs down onto the cars.
"My whole windscreen was covered with grime and rotten eggs so I couldn’t see and had to quickly try to clear it. My younger daughter was sitting next to me. She has always been anxious in cars but this petrified her.
"We all got such a fright but she was terrified and didn’t want to get out. At this point I didn't know how bad it was as it was dark and I could just hear the eggs hitting the car.
"I was reassuring her telling her,'everything will be okay' but I didn't really know if everything was going to be okay."
She continued: "We got as far away as we could driving to the High Street which was lit so we could stop as I needed to check the car but my younger daughter was still so afraid and didn’t want us to stop or get out.
"When we did the stench coming off the car was horrendous. We could still hear screaming and laughing so knew it was coming from this group.
Later I saw two more cars covered in the grime and eggs shells and two men were getting out of the cars and approaching the group."
When they got home safely but still shaken up they had to deal with the sickening mess. Lynn explained: "With my daughters we managed to clear the car and the next morning in daylight we could see the full extent of the damage.
"The paintwork on the bonnet had been completely taken off. Depending on what they were throwing or what kind of driver I was the outcome could have been so much worse.
"Anyone could have lost control of the car in that state of shock and fear, the windscreen could have been smashed or worse.
"How serious does it have to be for something to be done about this?"

The mum-of-two later reported it to police but is still waiting for Police Scotland to come out and take statements. Locals in the area have reported that these incidents have been going on for years in the North Berwick area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of eggs thrown at cars on East Road in North Berwick during the evening of Friday, 14 October.
Adding: “We are aware of the impact that anti-social behaviour such as this has in the community and anyone with concerns can contact police on 101.
“Anyone identified as having committed an offence can expect to be dealt with appropriately.”
