Magnet fishing is becoming a popular hobby that has created enthusiasts across the United Kingdom.
But a popular East Lothian fisherman, James Pearson, has risen to local notoriety after he began sharing his finds online with fans.
The 47-year-old is best known for rescuing shopping trolleys that can fall into the River Esk and returning them home but over the years he has also made intriguing discoveries.

None more so than the bullets that he dragged up from “Bullet Bridge” just down from Hermiston Village earlier last weekend.
As well as the 17 bullets, the magnet fishing extraordinaire managed to pull out a mountain bike as well as an unused shotgun shell.
On his trove, James said: “They were found at a place we call ‘Bullet Bridge’ just down from Hermiston Village.
“I found them on Saturday 14 along with a mountain bike.
“They were in good condition and I believe they are used for competition shooting or are from a sniper rifle.”
In a rather gross turn of events, the magnet fisherman also pulled up someone's lost retainer, which certainly shows the weird and wonderful things that can be found lying at the bottom of rivers across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
