A hugely popular East Lothian seafood eatery has been named one of the country's top 'seaside restaurants, cafes and shacks' for 2022.
Open only on weekends, the much-loved The Lobster Shack in North Berwick has a covered, heated outdoor dining area, making it possible to devour fresh crab, fish tacos or rich, creamy chowder even if the weather is being unkind.
Already a hit with locals and tourists, the eatery has now been named in the prestigious top 20 list, published by the Guardian newspaper.

It joins other top choices including Barricane Beach Café in Devon, Hooked on the Rocks in Cornwall, The Seafood Restaurant in St Andrews and the Seafood Shack in Ullapool,.
The dish to try is the grilled North Berwick lobster, with garlic butter or chimichurri oil, and the small wine list includes a couple of sparkling options if you’re looking for a real treat. Everything is cooked to order, and the food can be taken away and munched on the beach if there are no tables available ( lobstershack.co.uk ).
