East Lothian family desperate to see toddler trial cancer drug after devastating diagnosis

The family of a toddler that has stolen the hearts of Scotland through her courageous battle with a rare cancer have issued a plea with the public to help them raise £312,000 for vital treatment by August 2022.

Flora Gentleman, 3, was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in January 2021 after several visits to the hospital.

But in the months that followed the diagnosis, the family’s world was to come tumbling down, as after noticing Flora was not herself, her parents were informed that their two-year-old daughter had also been diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer that has a 40-50 per cent chance of long-term survival.
