East Lothian councillors paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth at their first meeting since news of her death this morning.
A virtual meeting of the Labour administration's cabinet began with a minute's silence in tribute to the Queen as normal business was suspended.
And rules governing the meeting were also temporarily put on hold to allow councillors from other parties to contribute to the discussion.

Provost John McMillan, who on Sunday had ready out the Proclamation of the new King in front of a crowd of around 500 East Lothian residents in Haddington, told the virtual meeting he was born when King George VI was still on the throne.
And he recalled his father's proudest boast was that he had "sung for Princess Elizabeth in Inveresk".
Councillor McMillan said: "Much has been made of Queen Elizabeth's dedication and duty and her sense of public service and strong, strong faith and values.
"I hope we will remember our Queen through our own values and service, our values of leadership which Her Majesty had, and through our East Lothian values that we are "caring".
"We have seen in the last few days how deeply Her Majesty cared and how much she was cared for and loved."
Council leader Norman Hampshire said: "In East Lothian we were fortunate to have many visits by her Majesty to open new facilities across the area and they are very fondly remembered by the communities involved."
Councillor Lachlan Bruce welcomed the opportunity to pay his respects to Her Majesty and the new King Charles III.
He said: "There is something for us all to learn from the life and legacy of the Queen as we serves as councillors in East Lothian."
